What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing despite proper notice. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $2,714.32 on or before October 31, 2022. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must move out by October 31, 2022, and pay the Landlord $75.36 plus $42.29 per day from September 30, 2022, until they move out. The eviction can be enforced starting November 1, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
