Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 8, 2026
This policy explains how Evictly (evictly.org), operated by OGL Holdings, handles personal information. We follow recognized data-protection standards, including the U.S. state consumer-privacy laws that apply to our users and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Account: your email address (for passwordless sign-in).
- Documents you create: listing, lease, and form details you enter, uploaded PDFs, and the names/emails of signers or applicants you invite.
- E-sign audit data: signer email, IP address, timestamp, and device string, recorded to make signatures legally defensible.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage: basic logs and AI-feature counts to operate and meter the Service.
How we use it
To provide the Service: sign you in, generate and deliver documents, collect signatures, produce certificates of completion, process subscriptions, and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing.
- AI providers — text you submit to AI features (answers, form-fill, notice drafting) is sent to the model provider to generate a response.
- Email delivery — to send sign-in links, signing invitations, and notifications you trigger.
- People you choose — documents, applications, and your name are shared with the signers, applicants, or tenants you send them to.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, we let you access, correct, or delete your personal information, or close your account, by contacting us. We honor these core rights for every user regardless of location.
Retention & security
We keep your documents and audit records while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service or meet legal obligations. Data is protected with encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.
Public decision data
Our Ontario decision database is built from public Landlord and Tenant Board records, with individual names reduced to initials. To request review or removal of specific content, contact us.
This policy is provided for general use and is not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a lawyer for your jurisdiction and business.
