What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to prepare the rental unit for pest control treatment, which substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by August 18, 2020. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $7,203.60, which includes compensation for use of the unit, the application fee, and any outstanding rent deposit interest. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 18, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe interest, and the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
