What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants did not pay the full rent from May 1, 2020 to November 30, 2020 and vacated the rental unit on December 31, 2020. The Tenants were in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $606.44 in rent arrears and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by January 16, 2022, they will start owing simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
