What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on April 30, 2021, prior to the hearing date.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $844.52, which represents the rent arrears up to April 30, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $201 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 27, 2021, the Tenant will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
