What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenants were still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing but did not attend.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants void the order by paying $15,386.00 by August 27, 2022. If not voided, the Tenants must move out by August 27, 2022, and pay $12,849.98 to the Landlord, plus $49.32 per day from August 12, 2022, until they move out. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting August 28, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
