What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Tenant has been persistently late in paying the Tenant's rent. The Landlord served an N8 notice on the Tenant on November 17, 2022 to terminate the tenancy on January 31, 2023.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before September 29, 2023. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord compensation of $27.88 per day for the use of the unit starting May 16, 2023 until the date the Tenant moves out, and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by September 29, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 6.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
