What happened

The Landlord applied for eviction because the rental unit was sold to a purchaser who requires possession for personal residential occupation. The Board originally granted the eviction order. The Tenant requested a review of the order, claiming they were not reasonably able to participate because their request for an adjournment to find legal counsel was denied. The Board reviewed the audio recording and determined the Tenant did participate, and the denial of adjournment was reasonable given the Tenant's lack of diligence in seeking counsel.

The ruling

The request for a review of the eviction order is denied. The original order issued on September 24, 2025, which terminated the tenancy for the purchaser's personal use, is confirmed and remains in effect.
