What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant failed to pay rent from April 1, 2021 to November 30, 2021. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective July 20, 2021. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 29, 2022. The Tenant must pay $7,450.71 plus $42.74 per day starting January 19, 2022, to the Landlord. If the Tenant pays $9,218.00 by January 29, 2022, the eviction order will be void. The Tenant may file a motion to set aside the order if they pay the required amount after January 30, 2022, but before the Sheriff enforces the eviction.
