What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants due to their failure to pay rent as ordered in a previous LTB decision. The tenants were ordered to pay $4,295 in rent arrears and application fees, but failed to do so.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 16, 2020. The tenants must pay the landlord $688.96, which includes the remaining balance from the previous order and compensation for use of the unit. If the tenants do not vacate by August 16, 2020, the landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
