What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant, committing an illegal act or carrying out an illegal trade, business or occupation in the rental unit or the residential complex, and seriously impairing the safety of any person.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated as of February 8, 2021, the date when the Tenant abandoned the rental unit. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 19, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
