What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to allegations of the Tenant or a guest of the Tenant deliberately damaging the rental unit, leaving needles around the residential complex, and causing conflict in the residential complex. The Landlord also claimed compensation for the costs incurred to repair the damage.
The ruling
The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $1,000 for the reasonable costs of repairing the wilful damage caused by the Tenant to the residential complex, as well as $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 12, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
