What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring the Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on August 31, 2022 and did not pay the full rent for the period from July 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $1,105.80, which includes rent arrears up to August 31, 2022 and the cost of the application, minus the rent deposit and interest on the deposit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 28, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
