What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The ruling

Unless the Tenants void the order by paying $3,342.20 by January 31, 2024 or $4,939.78 by February 9, 2024, the tenancy is terminated. If the Tenants do not void the order, they must pay $1,067.58 to the Landlord and vacate the unit by February 9, 2024. The Landlord is entitled to daily compensation of $52.52 for the Tenants' continued occupation after January 16, 2024.
