What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The application was resolved by order SWL-40249-20 issued on May 22, 2020. The Landlord requested a review of the order because they did not receive the Notice of Hearing.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay to the Landlord $15,962.29 which represents the amount of rent owing up to August 31, 2020 less the last month rent deposit and interest owing on the deposit. The Tenant shall also pay to the Landlord $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before June 30, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest. This will be simple interest calculated from July 1, 2021 at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
