What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant was properly served with notice of the hearing but did not attend.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 23, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $14,542.73, which includes rent arrears, compensation, and application filing costs, less the rent deposit and interest. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 23, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest and the Landlord can file the order for enforcement.
