What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 8, 2021. The Tenants do not owe any money to the Landlord as the rent deposit and interest owed to the Tenants exceeds the arrears owed to the Landlord. The Landlord is authorized to offset $55.04 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting April 28, 2021 until the Tenants move out.
