What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on July 29, 2021, prior to the hearing date.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $2,229.16, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 8, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
