The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 5, 2023. The tenants must pay the landlord $8,993.37, which represents the rent owing up to April 24, 2023, and the cost of filing the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest the landlord owes on the rent deposit. The tenants must also pay the landlord $49.37 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting April 25, 2023, until the date the tenants move out.
