What happened
Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on June 27, 2022, and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from May 1, 2022, to June 30, 2022.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $2,899, which includes rent arrears up to June 30, 2022, and the cost of the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 18, 2022, they will start to owe interest at 4% annually on the outstanding balance.
