What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order. The tenants did not pay the full rent for April 2023 and the $800 towards arrears by the due dates.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 5, 2023. The tenants must pay the landlord $2,706.23 plus $29.59 per day starting May 26, 2023 until they vacate the unit. If the full amount is not paid by June 5, 2023, the tenants will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
