What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring the former tenants to pay rent arrears and unpaid utility costs. The former tenants vacated the rental unit on July 4, 2022 and the landlord filed the application within the one-year time limit.

The ruling

The Landlord proved the allegations in the application. The former tenants must pay the Landlord $17,302.06 by October 31, 2024. If they do not pay by the due date, the Landlord will start charging 7% annual interest on the outstanding balance.
