What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The Landlord's application for eviction is denied on the condition that the Tenants pay the full monthly rent for May 2021 and June 2021 by June 15, 2021, and pay the full monthly rent on or before the 1st of each month from July 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021. If the Tenants fail to comply, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenants within 30 days of the breach. The Tenants must also pay the Landlord $175 for the cost of filing the application.
