What happened
The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's refusal to provide a key to the rental unit, which substantially interfered with the landlord's lawful rights and privileges, and the tenant having eight people living in the two-bedroom, 700 square foot unit, which was not what was contracted when the tenancy agreement was entered into.
The ruling
The tenancy between the landlord and the tenant is terminated as of May 7, 2021. The tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before May 7, 2021. The tenant shall also pay the landlord $46.03 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from April 27, 2021 to the date the tenant moves out. If the unit is not vacated by May 7, 2021, the landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced.
