What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent, substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment of the property, and serious impairment of safety. The Tenant had stored motorcycles, bicycle parts, and combustible materials in common areas, blocking emergency fire exits.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective November 14, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,806.18 for rent arrears and compensation, plus $36.16 per day starting November 4, 2021 until the Tenant vacates the unit. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $201 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 14, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest starting November 15, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by November 14, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
