What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order to pay $2,197.47 towards rent arrears by March 20, 2023.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 11, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $11,427.69, which includes the remaining rent arrears from the previous order and new arrears, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay the Landlord $66.22 per day for compensation for their continued occupation of the unit starting July 1, 2023 until they move out.
