What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant has failed to pay rent on time 11 out of 14 months from September 2018 to October 2019.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the outstanding rent arrears of $85.73 by November 1, 2020 and pay new rent on time and in full for the period November 1, 2020 to October 31, 2021. If the Tenant fails to make any of these payments, the Landlord may apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $175 for the cost of filing the application.
