What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed charges related to NSF cheques. The Tenants owed $15,504.56 in rent arrears, but had paid $8,805.56 since the application was filed. The Board considered the Tenant's circumstances and ordered a payment plan to clear the remaining arrears.

The ruling

The Board ordered the Tenants to pay $6,885.00 for rent arrears and costs according to a specified payment plan. The Tenants must also pay new rent on time and in full. If the Tenants fail to make any payment, the Landlord may apply for termination and eviction within 30 days of the breach.
