What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants did not meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order to pay rent arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 1, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $2,120.63 in rent arrears and application fees, less the rent deposit and interest owed. The Tenants must also pay the Landlord $29.99 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting July 22, 2023 until they move out.
