What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant had not paid the total rent required from April 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective August 23, 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 31, 2022, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $2,926.00 on or before that date. The Tenant must pay $1,299.94 for rent arrears and compensation, plus $26.30 per day from January 7, 2022, until move-out. The Tenant must also pay $186.00 for the application filing cost. If full payment is not made by January 31, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
