What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 28, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $9,186 for rent arrears and the previous application fee, plus $49.32 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting January 1, 2022 until the Tenants move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by January 28, 2022, they will owe interest starting January 29, 2022.
