What happened

The Landlord applied for an order requiring the Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants vacated the rental unit on November 4, 2022, but did not pay the full rent for the period from September 1, 2022 to November 4, 2022.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $225.46, which includes the rent arrears and daily compensation up to November 4, 2022, and the cost of filing the application, less the rent deposit and interest on the deposit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by April 29, 2023, they will start to owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
