What happened

The Landlord, a corporation, applied to evict the Tenant for non-payment of rent. The Tenant was absent from the hearing. The Landlord also claimed NSF charges, which were denied by the Board because the payments were pre-authorized debits, not cheques. A conditional order was issued, allowing the Tenant to void eviction by paying the full amount owed.

The ruling

The tenancy is conditionally terminated. The Tenant can void the order by paying $15,077.60 by April 21, 2025. If not voided, the Tenant must vacate by April 21, 2025, and pay the Landlord $11,087.89 plus daily compensation of $50.69 from March 14, 2025. The Landlord's claim for NSF fees was dismissed.
