What happened

The ruling

The tenant shall pay the landlord $2,000, which includes $1,814 for rent arrears up to April 30, 2023, and $186 for the application fee. The tenant shall pay the amount in installments according to the schedule set out in the order. The tenant shall also pay the full rent on or before the first of each month from April 2023 to February 2024 or until all arrears are paid, whichever is sooner. If the tenant fails to make any of the required payments, the landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the tenant, or may ask the LTB to reopen the application.
