What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant was still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective September 15, 2022 unless the Tenant paid $10,007.00 to the Landlord by that date. If the Tenant paid the amount, the tenancy would continue on the condition that the Tenant paid rent on time for the next 12 months. If the Tenant failed to make the $10,007.00 payment, the Tenant owed the Landlord $7,584.99 plus daily compensation for occupying the unit after August 11, 2022.
