What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlord's daughter.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 30, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord compensation of $30.81 per day for the use of the unit starting July 1, 2023 until the Tenant moves out. The last month's rent deposit shall be applied to the last month of the tenancy.
