What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing, and the Landlord's agents presented evidence that the Tenant had not paid rent since February 1, 2023 and had not responded to the Landlord's attempts to contact them.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $7,887.78 by June 30, 2023 or $8,856.41 by July 10, 2023 to void the order. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must pay $5,178.81 to the Landlord and vacate the unit by July 10, 2023.
