What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord served a valid Notice of Termination on October 16, 2019 due to rent arrears from September 1, 2017 to December 31, 2019. The Tenants did not pay the full rent as directed in an Interim Order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective April 30, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $9,200.77, which includes rent arrears up to April 30, 2021 and the application filing fee, minus the rent deposit and interest. If the Tenants do not pay this amount by April 30, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
