What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy due to the Tenants' persistent late payment of rent. At the hearing, the parties reached a consent agreement. The Tenants agreed to pay rent on time and in full for a 12-month period and to pay the Landlord's application fee. Failure to comply allows the Landlord to apply for an eviction order without a further hearing.
The ruling
By consent, a conditional order was issued. The Tenants must pay their monthly rent on time and in full from July 1, 2025, to June 1, 2026. Additionally, they must pay the Landlord $186.00 for the filing fee by July 1, 2025. If the Tenants breach any of these conditions, the Landlord can apply to the Board for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants without notice.
