What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant requested a review of the original order, arguing that her sister Kaycee Bareto, who was listed as an Occupant on the rental agreement, should have been served with the Notice of Hearing and was not reasonably able to participate in the original hearing.

The ruling

The request to review the original order is granted. The original order is cancelled and replaced with a new order that provides the Tenant with conditional relief from eviction, requiring the Tenant to pay rent on time and in full for the period of April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025. If the Tenant fails to make any one of the payments, the Landlord may apply for an eviction order without further notice to the Tenant.
