What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board on January 6, 2021 with respect to application TSL-14577-20. The Tenant failed to make the first payment required in the amount of $2,362.06 on or before January 17, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated, and the Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before February 12, 2021. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $11,577.04, which represents the rent owing up to February 1, 2021 and the costs related to the application fee for the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest the Landlord owes on the rent deposit. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $44.78 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting February 2, 2021 to the date the Tenant moves out of the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing on or before February 12, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
