What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Tenant or another occupant of the rental unit has committed an illegal act or has carried out, or permitted someone to carry out an illegal trade, business or occupation in the rental unit or the residential complex. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy continues if the Tenant meets the conditions set out in the order. The Tenant must ensure that his dogs are under his control, or the control of a designated person, and on a leash and muzzled at all times when at the residential complex, and outside of the Tenant's rental unit. If the Tenant fails to comply, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $201.00 for the cost of filing the application.
