What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board on July 12, 2021 with respect to application TNL-30488-21. The Tenants failed to pay $800 towards arrears by October 15, 2021 and failed to pay rent of $2,366 by November 1, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must move out by December 21, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $8,154.95, which includes rent arrears up to November 30, 2021 and the costs related to the previous application. The Tenants must also pay $77.82 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting December 1, 2021 until they move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by December 21, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
