What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants' representative argued that the N4 notice was defective, and the Landlord requested to convert the application to an L9 application for arrears only.

The ruling

The Tenants were ordered to pay the Landlord $14,264 in rent arrears and $186 in application fees. If the full amount is not paid by January 23, 2022, the Tenants will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
