What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful rights, privileges or interests of the Landlord or another tenant. The Landlord claimed the Tenants' actions, including maintaining the unit in an exceedingly unclean condition and interfering with scheduled pest control treatment, were affecting other tenants in the building.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before October 31, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $36.85 per day for the use of the unit starting November 1, 2022 until the date they move out, as well as $186.00 for the cost of filing the application.
