What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued by the Board on July 14, 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by October 24, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,346.96, representing the rent owing up to September 30, 2021 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit. The Tenant must also pay $57.53 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting October 1, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by October 24, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
