What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants because the tenants gave notice to terminate the tenancy, but did not move out by the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before May 6, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The tenants must pay the landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the tenants do not pay the full amount by May 6, 2023, they will start to owe interest at 6.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
