What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant and for an order to have the Tenant pay compensation for damage the Tenant owes because the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in the mediated settlement issued by the Board on March 11, 2020 with respect to application SWL-39705-19.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by September 1, 2020. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $7,369.53, which includes unpaid compensation for damage and costs from the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $19.73 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting August 22, 2020 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 1, 2020, the Tenant will owe interest starting September 2, 2020.
