What happened
The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant because the landlord requires possession of the rental unit in order to demolish the unit. The parties engaged in settlement discussions and mutually agreed to resolve all matters at issue in the application.
The ruling
The parties reached a consent agreement. The landlord will pay the tenant $3,075 and the tenant must vacate the unit by May 31, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
