What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant has not paid the total rent the Tenant was required to pay for the period from December 1, 2019 to July 31, 2020.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $10,938.09 in rent arrears up to July 31, 2020, and $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 21, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
